For the 57th year, leaders from Embassy Row, Capitol Hill, media, business and other spheres of D.C. gathered at the historic Meridian House on Oct. 24 for the Meridian Ball, which provides an annual respite from the politics that often divide Washington.

A few ambassadors offered their thoughts on collaborative investment for growth at the Meridian International Center’s Shaping Geopolitical Futures Summit on the morning of Oct. 18. Later that evening, more than a few ambassadors offered up their residences and embassies for the Meridian International Center’s popular annual ball so that revelers could take a break from the heavy talk that dominates Washington, D.C.
‘Casino night’ was this year’s theme of Meridian International Center’s biggest event of the year, which brings together diplomats, members of Congress and the administration, people from the public and private sectors and more, benefitting the Center’s mission for global leadership exchange, training programs and cultural activities.
After a pandemic pause, the Meridian Ball was back in full swing — safely, of course.
