Isabelle f. Picco was appointed Ambassador of Monaco to the United Nations on September 11, 2009.
From 1999 until this appointment, Picco served as Deputy Permanent Representative, having risen through the ranks since 1993, when Monaco joined the United Nations. Beginning her civil service career in 1990, she worked in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Budget, where she was in charge of legal affairs.
She holds master’s research degrees in environmental law and international law from the University of Paris, and also has a master’s professional degree in law from the same institution. She is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
Picco was born in Monaco in 1962.
