H.E. Erzhan Kazykhanov was appointed as the next Ambassador to the United States. Ambassador Kazykhanov served as Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

Ambassador Kazykhanov has also served in a number of high ranking posts as the Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to Austria, and Cuba (non-resident), Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the International Organizations in Vienna, and to the United Nations.

He is the author of numerous articles on Kazakhstan’s multi-vectored foreign policy, economic diplomacy and the role of the United Nations.
